The full form of the term VOOC is Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging. It is one of the fast mobile charging systems usually used by Oppo and its subsidiary Realme.

What is VOOC & Super VOOC charging?

As I mentioned, every smartphone company has its own fast charging technology, and VOOC and Super VOOC is a name of mobile chargers used by mobile brands Oppo and Realme. Oppo smartphone manufacturing company i.e. Oppo electronics has made and introduced VOOC fast charging technology in 2014. And this same technology is used in the OnePlus mobiles under the name of Dash charger and Warp charger and under the name Dart charger in Realme mobiles.

Versions

  • VOOC 2.0, it is the second version of VOOC and can be operate at 5V/4A (i.e. 20W).
  • VOOC 3.0, it claims to be 23.8% faster that 1st generation, and can be operated at 5V/5A (i.e. 25W).
  • VOOC 4.0, it 12% faster than previous version, and can be operated at 5V/6A (i.e. 30W).
  • SuperVOOC, it can be operated at 10V/5A (i.e. 50W).
  • SuperVOOC 2.0, is is first to intoduce GaN technology, and can be operated at 10V/6.5A (i.e. 65W).
  • And now VOOC has started to launch their VOOC Wireless Flash chargers which can be operated at 30W

There are about all smartphone manufacturing companies which have their own different kind of fast charging technology like Samsung has Adapter fast charging, Motorola has Turbocharging, OnePlus has Dash and Warp charging, Oppo and Realme have VOOC and Super VOOC charging, Huawei has Supercharging, Vivo has Flash charging, and MI, Redmi, and Xiaomi has HyperCharge technology.
