RRC - Railway Recruitment Cell
The term RRC stands for Railway Recruitment Cell. This is a government recruitment agency which is known for recruiting in railways and it works under the Ministry of Railways.
In 2005, the power of recruitment to all Group 'D' posts was given to the General Manager by the Ministry of Railways. To bring transparency in these recruitments, RRCs were formed in each railway zone and it was entrusted with the responsibility of recruiting all Group 'D' posts from the open market.
There are a total of 16 zones of RRC in India, which are as follows -
